A run is opened under a pact — 1 of them, chosen once by the host before anyone takes a step — and nothing else about the last morning is negotiable.

Survive counts seats, not bodies
A seat is a person at a keyboard — a browser session, not a character. Your seat stands as long as any character of yours is alive and still human. Dying and rolling a new survivor is the intended loop; a run is 7 nights and first characters are supposed to die. Six people who each died twice are graded “6 of 6”, not “1 of 18”.
The civilians are not the score
The district is full of people who cannot fight, cannot barricade and will not scavenge, and none of them appear on the manifest. Bringing one home is not worth a point — it is worth a post held while you sleep, which is a different and better reason to go out for them. See your crew.
How the morning is graded
Your grade is the share of what the pact asked for that you came out with — so holding a two-room church with three people is comparable to holding a mall with eight.

Ending early
The run is checked once a day, at dawn. If the pact has become unwinnable — every seat down — the run finishes that morning as a loss. A loss scores zero regardless of how the week had gone until then.
There is no early win, and the walls coming down is not itself a loss. You can be overrun, burnt out and holding one room, and still make the convoy.
- Survive counts seats still standing on the eighth morning.
- A seat is a person, not a character — dying and rolling a new survivor costs the group nothing.
- You are graded on the share of what the pact asked for, so a small hold is not a worse hold.
- A loss always scores zero, however well the week went up to then.
